Sagarmatha International encourages local communities to boost productive and entrepreneurial skills and supports small artisans creating market linkages with clients in Europe and Nepal, especially under the fair trade circuits.
The goals are: generating additional sources of incomes, improving living conditions, and encouraging people skills, abilities, and self-esteem. Sagarmatha provides vocational trainings and technical support for product quality. People participating in the initiative are organized into groups to manage and coordinate and become an active part in Sagarmatha life. Sagarmatha is planning to provide vocational trainings for village people who want to start-up a craft business.
