Metal craft artisans Sagarmatha International works in Bungmati village, Lalitpur district, with a group of 22 people including the metal craft artisans and their wives. Metal craftsmanship is a job requiring special skills and care, long processing and patience. A century-old art handed down from father to son, normally carried out within the family with support of women, especially for decoration.
Weavers In Gorka Sagarmata International works with a group of three weavers working at the handloom cotton, wool and traditional Nepali fabric of exquisite finish: "dhaka". The fabrics produced by Sagarmatha artisans are then used to manufacture a range of articles: from silk and cotton scarves to household items.
